Practical Native Poultry Raising

A Seminar/training on “Practical Native Poultry Raising” will be conducted on September 24, 2011 at the Kagawaran ng Pagsasakahan (Department of Agriculture), Agribusiness Center by Solraya Enterprises from 8:30-5:00 PM. Cost for the seminar/training for the one-day training is PHP1,000.00 which includes training materials, food and certificate.  Training topics will include the following:
 
-          Introduction to Practical Poultry Raising
-          The importance of Native Poultry in Farming System Development
-          How to Select Good Site for Native Chicken
-          Native Chicken Nature and Shelter/Housing/Bedding
-          Identification and Processing of Natural Feeds for Chicken
-          Basic Health Management the Natural Way
-          Handling and Storage of Eggs
-          Native Chicken Raising Maintenance Operation

The training will be conducted by Ms. Teresa Saniano of Earthkeepers and Mr. Dante Delima, both authors of the LIKASAKA Manwal.

  2. want to attend this seminar. I've been raising free range chickens( rhode islands and paraoakans) and honestly speaking, have not been successful. mataas naging mortality ko sa RI and zero sa paraoakans. want to try raising all native chickens. Happy farming!

  3. by the way my husband is an OFW and we plan to try to avail OWWAs (reintegration program) agri-business LOAN. God willing we will try to venture in raising native pigs, chicken or i may say natural farming.

I have never raised a chicken of my own in my 53 years of life...My family just started a natural farm in our home province, our guide being our neighbor farmers, collection of the local agriculture magazine, the internet and the early exposure of my husband in farming.What a better way to complement these tools than learning firsthand from people veteran in the field. And if I'm lucky enough,and i keep my fingers crossed, attend the training for free! Count me in...

  5. i want to attend this seminar because i wanted to grow my own chicken for consumption as the conventional chicken isnt good for our health.

  6. I grew in a farm and as a child we used to raise native chickens.. My father was a farmer and I've always wanted to be one myself. I guess raising chickens is a good start.
